a southern wedding to remember

when erin told me months ago that she booked a wedding in raleigh, north carolina, i'd be lying if i said i wasn't a LITTLE bit excited. :)

we had envisioned this day for a long time. but honestly, it was NOTHING like i had imagined; my mind could never have dreamt up such loveliness.

it started by summer and neal picking us up from the airport wednesday evening, with a sign saying "erin & tracey" and their faces beaming with southern loveliness! they are truly a sweet couple..they fit together so perfectly.

thursday we scouted out areas to do the city shoots...historic homes from the turn of the century. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! and perfect for what we were looking for. they proved to be perfect yesterday for the shoot.

friday evening erin attended the rehearsal dinner at the country club and said it was spectacular!! i can only imagine!

so saturday arrives and we make our way down the hall to room 326 and the days events begin to unravel..from the details of her dress and accessories to her seeing neil for the first time for their "first look". it was all so enchanting. and summer was so calm and relaxed, relishing every moment.

off with the 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen we went downtown raleigh to begin a couple hours of amazing shooting! from there we went to the wedding venue.. the pavillions at angus barn. they have a lake where there is this amazing barn for wedding venues and a lake-side place for the reception. everyone was crossing their fingers for no rain, as there was a chance of thunder showers. again, everything was perfect - no rain. :)

shooting about the barn areas just before the ceremony is what was next, then just after 6 the ceremony began. it was filled with much emotion. some family photos under our belt and so began the reception. summer and neil opened the reception with their first dance and then her father and her had a very cool choreographed dance.. FUN FUN FUN!

the details at the reception were immaculate...from the candy shoppe for the guests, to the colourful flower everywhere, to the amazing cake, to the old restored car of pappy, to the phenomenal jazz/blues band from atlanta, to the photo booths, to the scrapbooks of photos of summer and neil's lives, to the crafted place settings..it was all so detailed and amazing.

the reception went on into the evening with lots of laughing, dancing and celebrating.

thank you summer and neil for inviting us to share & photograph memories of one of the most amazing days of your lives. you are the best. :)
