i'm a second shooter at heart.. i think i'm a pretty good one.. and i LOVE LOVE LOVE to second shoot.
sure, i do a handful of my own weddings each year, but for me, i truly love being the other set of eyes.. :)

i have known kathy for a loooooooong time.. what does that say about both of us!? :) haha..

but seriously, she is so amazing.. so inspiring and has really made quite a name for herself in the mary kay world.. when she asked me to come over to the island to photograph a few makeovers of some of her consultants, i was thrilled. :)

so of course, we do the before's cuz its soooooo much fun to see the after's and go "WOW!"

JULY

my rosie celebrated her june birthday...she turned 8!!

my great-grandma passed...how we miss you gramma emily..

we went on our family summer trip to cannon beach!

but first  stopped in seattle for a mariners game and then to portland/vancouver to visit friends!

portland/vancouver hightlights..our friends' newly adopted ethiopian, did a coffee ceremony for us.. HELLO! :)

and onto cannon beach.... *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel*

the summer also brought a TON of weddings to second shoot (over 30 in fact!) and one of my own took me to calgary, AB! which brings me to...

AUGUST

TONS of portrait sessions..

my first session for my book, "seasoned love"was taken..

a quick trip with the kiddies & i to gibsons on the sunshine coast  to visit my great aunt "honey" before school started..

SEPTEMBER
back to school they went! man are they ever growing fast... **sigh**

and some outtakes cuz they were hilarious!

it was vino making next door - one of the COOLEST things i've experienced..

and then rosie and her bff next door did a grape stomp the next weekend - can i just say i love everthing ITALIAN if you didn't know? ;)

celebrating dear friends' birthdays.. :)

and yes, i was still second shooting weddings in september.. :)


OCTOBER
most of october was spent in the philippines...an AMAZING time with all 21 family members..but first did another session for "seasoned love"..

a couple shoots before we headed to the philiippines for 3 weeks..celebrating with the entire heppner family papanini's 40th wedding anniversary at boracay island.. :) 

while we were in the philippines i was able to visit jonathan's sister's ministry to the urban poor of manila, gentle hands.. rescuing amazingly beautiful children... who then are waiting for their forever families..

we came home to go, the very next day to U2 360* TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can i just say AMAZING!?

NOVEMBER

caleb turned 12..almost a teenager!! he had a sleepover with his buddies then his grandma from kelowna came down and took him to chuck e cheese's..he was a good sport. :)

november was also my psycho traveling portraits month! i headed to calgary and portland to do a WHACK load of 'em!

i met jason and amber thru an existing client ( i love those!)...can i just say i LOVE maternity sessions!?!? :) k .. i just said it. :)

 

 

and as for december that deserves a post all to itself.. :)
