viva las vegas!! || vancouver wedding photographer

at the beginning of march i, along with, oh 15,000 other wedding portrait photographers, made our way to las vegas to WPPI, wedding portrait photographers international.

i am gonna blog a whole buncha posts from my 4 days there.. i had some lovely adventures!

one adventure in particular was happening upon a newly married couple, ericka & justin, getting their photos taken in front of the infamous WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS sign by their limo driver. miranda, jeanie and i knew we had to intervene. :) miranda introduced us and in 30 seconds we were well on our way with a little bridal portrait session!

here's a few of my faves...i had my wide angle lens on that day.. oh baby..lovin' it. :)

and ericka & justin..thank you for being so gracious and letting us "snap".. have a fun life together!! :)

indie i do - recap! || vancouver wedding photographer

miranda & andrea, two amazing ladies, thought of indie i do over two years ago...and voila! vancouver's first alternative wedding show was birthed!

INDIE I DO's second annual wedding show was in january...and i had the DELIGHT to photograph the day... between capturing the amazing vendor booths, to candids of what was happening, to bridal fashion show & burlesque dancing, to everything else!

taunia & aaron - eSession || vancouver wedding photographer

one of my couples i get the pleasure of shooting this year is from estevan, SK. they are sooooo adorable! and their wedding is in october - super fun fall wedding!!

on the weekend we met up and shot their engagement photos in a little town outside of estevan, called bienfait. it was so great! :)

can't wait to shoot your wedding in the fall, t+a! :)

hi everybody! just to let you know that there are only FOUR DAYS left until jeanie and i pick the one lucky couple who will receive their true wedding wish!

all submissions must be emailed to ourtrueweddingwish@gmailcom by 10am PST on sunday, february 14th, 2010. we are looking forward to reading all the submissions! (:

we have wonderful news! due to the number of responses we have had for our wedding gift, we are extending the deadline!

AND there is more!

as we have sifted through interested couples, we felt that we should ammend and expand who qualifies for the true wedding wish.

the new deadline is valentines’ day, 2010.

the new qualifications are that

…whilst work in a non-profit organisation is not necessary, a commitment to the non-profit community must be demonstrated. please substantiate with letters of references from communities and organisations that you (or both) are involved in.
…the wedding does not need to be in vancouver. tracey and i are both willing to travel. travel details can be worked out with the lucky couple.

we hope that we will make one 2010 couple’s wish come true!

…make it an outta-this-world valentine’s day, knowing that your wedding will be photographed by myself and jeanie ow of studio jeanie, two of vancouver’s TOP 50 PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS!

just before christmas andrea tweeted if anyone would like to take her headshots. "i would love to", i thought. so i tweeted back and we set up lunch and went for a wander afterwards and got some really fun shots. 

her partner in crime and love, rob, was there too..he's a ham! and we got a couple cute shots of them together too. :)
