when megan asked me to photograph her ADORABLE boys with her and hubby, i smiled. her boys are ADORABLE! so cute..so smart..so happy. and meg got them all matching CANADA sweatshirts - cute!

we started inside for some fun ones then headed outside with the white snow backdrop.

and we snuck a few pics of meg & her man, nick.. :)

malia was absolutely adorable! the love between jesse and larissa was evidently strong between them..such a peace-filled family indeed!

last week i was down in portland and seattle..GOOD TIMES!

i also didn't expect to been as blessed with my sessions as i did.. can i just say hello i have AMAZING clients!??!

ya i do. :)

first up for friday, the day after thanksgiving, was patrick, leslie and wee little audrey. leslie is expecting very soon and so we did a family/maternity session with them all. fun!!

they were such troopers; i didn't know what sort of CHAOS the macy's christmas parade was going to do on them getting down to downtown portland for their urban shoot.. an hour on the train and they still had smiling faces! see? i'm blessed! :)

here's a few from our time together.. they were so much fun.. :)

so great meeting you 3..can't wait for the next one...i will have to come for a visit.. ;)

2+1+1+2 = house of love || calgary family session || vancouver photographer

my friend referred her inlaws inlaws family to get portraits done with me...word of mouth is always the best advertising, no? :)

out past chestermere to their acreage was our location and it was late in the day..yay! my fave time of day to shoot.. there was mom and dad and the 4 kiddos..the oldest girl, a boy then a set of twins, boy and girl. they were so cute!! and so much energy!! i knew my shutter would be on continuous shutter the whole time!

we got to know each other with a few photos on the couch, and then when the light was juuuuuuuust right, we headed outside.

these have got to be some of my favorite family photos.. so many personalities, so many faces, so many smiles, so many stories to tell.

thanks C family for letting me come out to your acreage and have a hoot! it was really fun! :)

2 little men and their mommy || calgary family session || vancouver photographer

when ashley contacted me wanting to surprise her friend cassandra with a session with her and her boys, i knew that this was going to be a fun shoot! and the little men were only 16 mths and 14 days! SUPER FUN!

we started off inside to make sure the crisp calgary coolness would subside..and it did. so we headed up to the park and had a fun time.. cassandra's boys are so sweet..and she is the most patient little mom of two!

thanks for letting me follow you around and watch your little family interact and love each other. it was so much fun. :)

iolla's 70th birthday & family portraits || vancouver photographer

when my dear italian neighbour, iolla, aka "nona" asked me if i would be available to shoot some photos of her for her 70th birthday and both her children's families, i was MORE than thrilled!

not simply because i love shooting families but because this family in particular are a little more dear to my heart than the regular family sessions. iolla's daughter and her hubby and kids live next door as well, and their kids and our kids are bestest buds. as in our door is open to them..always. and their youngest, fondly know as "the noob" is in LOVE with rosie, so big sister O says. rosie's name is said and "the noob" is totally enamored!! it's really cute.

so yes...the family next door's family session was lovely..the kids were awesome and cute and funny..the adults gave me some fairly decent smiles (wink wink!) and iolla's 70th birthday photos were taken. even a 3 generation one as well.. very sweet.
