one of the most incredible things happened to me last night.

my friend erin gave me a christmas present.
but it wasn't just ANY present.

this was a gift.
a gift that spoke straight to my heart and brought me to tears
as my heart leapt and the very words rang true. and the fact that
it had postage stamps to boot...ya, i was pretty much lovin' it. :)

you see...there have been many days in the last few months that i
feel as tho i'm directionless...but yet going ahead and doing things
i never thought i'd do. dreams i'm living out that i never thought i'd
live out.

yet...feeling like i have NO idea what i want to do with my life.

chuckle..i know, right?

so when i opened this tiny package, i was completely speechless.

and now...it hangs around my neck with pride.

thank you, erin, for the most perfect gift i could ever ask for.
you, my friend, were a godsend...at just the right time.. xoxo

i heart portland || vancouver photographer

i lived in portland for one year.
it was 1991.
i was in college.
i loved it then.

and i still love it now. :)

...your wedding must be in 2010.
...one of you must be working for a charitable non-profit organization
...your story as to why we should consider you for complimentary photographic services on your wedding day
...you are willing to be featured on our blogs, website and magazines.

{this is what the chosen couple will receive}

...up to 10 hours of coverage on your wedding day
...2 photographers to ensure maximum coverage
...a DVD of all the images taken on your wedding day
...an online slideshow to see the highlights of your wedding day
...a fun two-hour lifestyle (engagement) session prior to the wedding day

selection will be made based on your story as well as our availability in 2010.

email us that story as well as a 450px by 600px JPEG of the couple to ourtrueweddingwish{at}gmail{dot}com.
all submissions must be received by christmas eve, december 24th at 5pm pacific standard time {no exceptions}

the lucky couple will be contacted first thing christmas day morning, and featured on our blog! so email this link out, nominate a deserving couple, and spread the word (and cheer!)

talk about adorable family!!! and with number 2 on the way soon, how much CUTER will it be!? :)

malia was absolutely adorable! the love between jesse and larissa was evidently strong between them..such a peace-filled family indeed!

was so much fun photographing amongst the gorgeous autumn leaves!

donovan and lillian i met when i was at college in portland back in '91..
they were awesome.. they are STILL awesome.

they are some of the few friends i've kept since our time in 1991...and they have watched our family grow.. :) it's been so awesome.

i can't tell you what an honour it was to photograph not only you four, but your ENTIRE family.. i still can't believe we did 8 shoots in 4 hours.. we are fricken' rock stars.. :)

thank you..for everything. you guys are so dear to my heart. can't wait to wine and dine you when you come up to vancouver in january. :)

dylan, robbin & the blue eyed-babes - washougal, WA || vancouver photographer

all three of dylan and robbin's children have THE most amazing blue eyes!!
they remind me of gorgeous blueberries...chuckle..kinda fitting that their grandfather's farm is blueberry farm, no? :)

the kids were so great..even when the littlest was "done" with having photos..they were awesome to the end!

philipp is a good man.. with 5 females in the house, that takes a special person. ;) giggle.. but honestly..the girls..they are so beautiful..and so sweet..and so much fun!
i can ONLY imagine what it will be like at their house when they are all teenagers!!

all 4 of them, beautiful and full of personality all of their own.. and morningstar holds a certain regal tenderness about her..

their family is so much fun.. it was a pleasure to photograph you guys!! :)

ok seriously? this little man had me at hello.. no really. he is SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE!
and his parents are beautiful... and it was cute that lani and little man brady had the same color knitted toques..it was really cute..you had to see it. :)
