we walked into our room and our jaws dropped.

yes, i reserved a normal room off expedia. but HOLY. these digs were HUGE!

its about 1000 sq ft. no joke. and it's gorgeous. and we feel like princesses.. :)

after our thai dinner, lani and i took the umbrella and strolled around pioneer square area, where our hotel is.

it was so gorgeous outside.... *sigh* :)

I'VE GONE BLACK FRIDAY MAD...for your christmas giving pleasure || vancouver wedding & portrait photographer

yesterday i was chatting about the USA's black friday sales.

and i got inspired. :)

no really i did. except i tweeked it some.. :)

from now until december 8th, i'm giving you a KILLER deal on portrait sessions...

not gonna lie..i love USA thanksgiving.. || vancouver wedding & portrait photographer

yes, yes i do.. why? cuz of black friday sales! :) and another reason to eat some MORE TURKEY!!! :) i wish that we (canadians) did thanksgiving like y'all do.. :) or at least took on some of the characteristics of it.. moving right along... ;)

my dear friend lani (follow her on twitter at: @prairiecitygirl) and i are going to make a girl trip south of the border..

first stop - thursday: portland! we're staying at this really funky heritage hotel downtown.

then friday we'll shop about and such and then head up to seattle and stay at our favorite b&b (musical house bed & breakfast) and do some more shopping on sat then head home.

ooooooooooo.. gotta love it. thank you america for being so close.. and thank you america for black friday sales. and thank you america for being our neighbors and friends. :)

THAT is truly something for a canuck to be thankful about! :)

cans for comments 2009 || vancouver wedding & portrait photographer

its that time of year again!!

last year, chris+lynn started the amazing concept that is now cans for comments... every person to leave a comment on anyone's blog who is participating, a can will be donated to the local food bank.

last year, i took on the challenge --> cans for comments 2008 -- and was able to take a box load of canned goods to the food bank in burnaby.. yay!!

this year we're doing the same thing.. any comments posted on my blog (no matter WHICH post you comment on, present or past) a can will be donated to the food bank. let's start today and we're gonna go til dec 1.

so....GO! go post some comments beautiful people..tis the season to give.

uh, excuse me.. i dont think this is what i ordered.. || vancouver photographer

do you ever feel that way? like you stop yourself in the moment and take a GOOD look at life and go, hmmm...this is not what i want my life to be like, how did i get here?

i'm not talking major huge crisis. no, i'm talking even the little (which seemingly is BIG in my life) things like eating & exercising regularly.

i know it's important to eat breakfast... but do it? isn't coffee considered breakfast?

i know that exercising everyday is important... but do it? isn't rolling around on my ergonomic office chair exercise?

you pickin' up what i'm putting down? ya...we've all got something like that.

so this weekend i'm re-ordering my life... i'm writing down every possible thing that fills my brain..prioritizing them..scheduling them..and implementing them.

it's good to have information and "know" stuff..but if you don't do anything about it..ya you know the drill.

i'll let you know how this journey goes.

and speaking of reordering....!!
