indie i do - recap! || vancouver wedding photographer

miranda & andrea, two amazing ladies, thought of indie i do over two years ago...and voila! vancouver's first alternative wedding show was birthed!

INDIE I DO's second annual wedding show was in january...and i had the DELIGHT to photograph the day... between capturing the amazing vendor booths, to candids of what was happening, to bridal fashion show & burlesque dancing, to everything else!

when megan asked me to photograph her ADORABLE boys with her and hubby, i smiled. her boys are ADORABLE! so cute..so smart..so happy. and meg got them all matching CANADA sweatshirts - cute!

we started inside for some fun ones then headed outside with the white snow backdrop.

and we snuck a few pics of meg & her man, nick.. :)

kimmy & matty - family session || vancouver photographer

some of our dearest friends live out in estevan, SK.
one of the couples are kimmy & matty... i shot their engagement photos. i shot their wedding. i was there with her as a her doula with their first baby. and will be with her when she has her second this coming may.

we did some family photos, along with matt's sister. we had so much fun. :)

taunia & aaron - eSession || vancouver wedding photographer

one of my couples i get the pleasure of shooting this year is from estevan, SK. they are sooooo adorable! and their wedding is in october - super fun fall wedding!!

on the weekend we met up and shot their engagement photos in a little town outside of estevan, called bienfait. it was so great! :)

can't wait to shoot your wedding in the fall, t+a! :)

the run-away olympics - day 6

after our 14 hr trek from calgary to south junction, MB, we slept until 1030am the next day!
we ate lunch at SHAKERS INN, where we were staying (there's a blog post on shaker's inn coming!) we drove the hour & a half to see jonathan's grandpa mcleod..

it was such a great time with him..he was so happy to see us and the kids just listened as he told stories.. we also went to the old church that jonathan's mom's family grew up going to..it was a cooooooooool old building.. :)

"the run-away olympics road trip" - day 5

the 15-hr trek from calgary, AB to south junction, MB...a few photos from out of the truck windows..and a quick stop in whitewood to photograph the gorgeous grain elevator. jonathan was a little boy here and so it has lots of history for him...it was really cool.
